TRENDS FOR 2018

It’s that time of year again! What’s going on in home design trends?

Both are rich jewel tones that will make any space feel elegant and inviting.

Along those lines, using a tone-on-tone is trending now. Wall color, built-ins and furniture going hand in hand to blend into each other.

Metals are still really hot. Burnished brass with flat black for lighting, in furniture as the base and  for home accents. Rose gold is soft and sensuous and looks great with lilac and white.

Fabrics- Velvets are red hot! Burn-out and patterned velvet in those rich colors and in bright tones as well. Furs ( faux of course) are still fun for pillows and accents like a pouf or an ottoman.

Natural elements to complement the architecture. Wood is still hot. Any piece crafted locally by an artisan to give a good story to your abode.
Stone to accent a wall lends gravitas to a room and the feeling of permanence.

Baskets, can add whimsy texture and a practical place to keep a space clean.
